Ruvina Wilson Hensley, 91, of Barnardsville, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at her home.

She was born on February 6, 1935, to the late Gilbert and Ethel Wilson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Rex Hensley of 47 years; daughters, Karen Renee Hensley, Theresa Burelson, Jolene Harwood, Anita Kaye Hensley; sisters, Frances Wilson, Reba Hill, Annie Mae Hensley; brothers, Cooter, Harley, Clayburn, Joe, David, and Jay Hugh Wilson.

Ruvina was a hardworking woman devoted to her family. She attended the Barnardsville Church of God. She found great joy in serving the Lord and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Elaine Harwood; sons, Gerald Hensley, Don Hensley (Shirley), Dennis Hensley (Joann) Hensley; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 15 great great granchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the Harwood Family Cemetery. Reverends Leonard Cole and Louis Maynor will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be her great grandsons.
