Sarah Louise Banks Prater, age 79, of Mars Hill passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021. She is the daughter of the late Edward and Bonnie Louise Watkins Banks. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Roy Prater; daughter, Teresa Franklin and granddaughter, Sarah Register.

She is survived by her daughters; Kimberly Edmonds (Roger), Lisa Franklin, and Angela Beasley; sons, Dewey Franklin (Kristy) and Bryan Franklin; loving sisters, Lois Moore and Barbara Edmonds.

Sarah was a licensed CNA for most of her years and loved taking care of others. She loved life and her family whole heartedly. She was a devoted mother to six children, grandmother (Nanny) to 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
