Mrs. Shirley Metcalf Freeman, 73, of 26 Archer Way, Weaverville, NC passed away Monday, January 10, 2022, at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center. Shirley was the daughter of the late Richard and Jean Hensley Metcalf. She was a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church in Weaverville.

Shirley is survived by her husband: Paul Freeman; three sons: Johnny Freeman (Shannon), Scott Freeman (April), and Michael Freeman; six grandchildren: Cassie Gullatte, Colton Freeman, David Freeman, Morgan Frith, Dylan Freeman, and Navada Thorne; and seven great grandchildren: Kinley, Xavier, Easton, Kai, Raelyn, Xander, and Christie.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 2:00pm at Piney Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric Dimsdale officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
