Shirley Glenda Brown Gayheart, 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Marshall, NC on August 22, 2022. She was a native of Knox County, KY. Mrs. Gayheart was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gayheart; sisters, Chelsea and May; brothers, Ralph and AC Brown. Shirley was a graduate of Knox Central High School and attended Spencerian College, where she met her husband, Harold. She was a very loving and caring, mother, wife and friend and will be missed by many. She enjoyed bowling, as well as working out at the Elizabethtown "E-Town" fitness center.

Shirley is survived by her son, Greg Gayheart and wife Jill, of Marshall, NC as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11:00am, September 17, 2022, at Elizabethtown Baptist Church, 1525 North Miles St., Elizabethtown, KY, 42701, of which she was a member. Pastor Glen Chasteen will officiate the service. Shirley will be laid to rest at St. James cemetery in Elizabethtown, KY.
