It is with great sadness that the family of Silas Eugene Noel, 40, announce that he passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022, at his home in Barnardsville, NC with family by his side. Before his illness, Silas was an Eagle Scout, Buncombe County's Young Man of the Year, worked as a Climatic Data Specialist, and volunteered as a mentor with the Big Brother Program. Silas was also active in his church and community and loved being around friends and family.

Silas will be remembered by his mother, Donna Mae Noel, brothers, Jason Noel and Bryan Noel (Kimberly), and their children, who Silas cherished, Summer, Xayvria, Benjamin, and Caroline. Silas joins his loving father, Jerome "Jerry" Allen Noel, in eternal rest.

Silas' final wish was that we would all value and maintain our health and able bodies, as this is something he greatly missed in his final years.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 1:00pm at St.

Mark's Lutheran Church with Pastor Matt Smith officiating. Visitation will be

from 12:00pm to 1:00pm Thursday, March 10, 2022, prior to the funeral at the

church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Barnardsville.
