Sonya Horne, 57, of Mars Hill, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019. She is the daughter of the late Lester Anzel and Avis Nevada Lawson McBride. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Linda Gail Bailey and Shirley Daniel and a brother, William McBride.

She is survived by her husband William Horne; daughters, Memory Ammons (Dennis) and Erin Horne; sons, Lennie McBride and Jeremy Horne; brother, Ronnie McBride (Deb Clark); and six grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Redmon Cemetery, Bear Creek Road, Marshall. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
