Stella Inez Wright Rice, age 52 of Hamburg Rd. passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at her residence. She was the daughter of Carl Hubert Wright and the late Joyce Clubb Wright. Stella is also preceded in death by her husband, David Rice. In addition to her father, she is survived by her daughter, Amanda Garretson (John); son, Dereck Rice (Erin); brothers, Cecil and Mark Wright; sisters, Freda Wright, Rhonda Christopher; grandchildren, Zach and Aryiah Garretson, Landon and Destiny Rice and special friend Dana Bell and family. A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Calvary Church of God Worship Center. Officiating will be Pastor Rusty Smart. Burial will be held 2:00 PM at Wright Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blue Ridge Funeral Service, PO Box 27, Mars Hill, NC 28754, to assist with funeral expenses.
