Stephen "Toby" Swann, 43, of Buladean, NC, left his wheelchair behind and went to be with our gracious Lord and Savior on April 3, 2020, surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Virginia Anderson Swann; brothers, Larry Bruce and Robert Gary Swann.

Toby is survived by his brother, Mike Swann (Jennifer), nephew, Logan Swann, nieces, Kendall Swann, Ashley Swann (Brandon Moore), and Celeste Christopher (Dillon); and great niece, Ella Dare Christopher, all of the home; uncle, Joe Anderson of Mars Hill; grandparents, Rev. Powell and Debbie Young of Weaverville; sisters-in-law, Lisa Swann and children of Burnsville, and Donna Golden of Leicester; nephews, Derek Swann of Barnardsville, Adam Swann (Courtney) of Leicester, Kenneth and Aaron Swann, both of Etowah; nieces, Lauren Swann of Burnsville, Cheyenne Swann of Etowah; great-nephews, Ryan Swann of Asheville, and Robbie Swann of Pennsylvania; cousins, Meg Anderson of Woodfin, and Sheila Williams of Leicester.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jessie Wade (Elvis) and to Hospice of the Blue Ridge and his devoted nurse and friend, Brittany Murdock for their loving care.

Toby was an avid Elvis fan, and loved to laugh and play with his family until the end. His smile would light the room.

A memorial service will be held 3:00PM, Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 1 Tahkoiestie Trail, Asheville, NC 28806.
