Sylvan Taylor Jr.,68, of Alexander, NC passed away at Mission Hospital September 20, 2022 after an extended illness. He was born December 10, 1953. God decided he had suffered enough; it was time for Jr. to come home. He was preceded in death by his father Sylvan Taylor and mother Bernice Price Taylor.

Sylvan is survived by his wife of 49 years Judy Worley Taylor; brother: Jackie Taylor (Sherry); nieces: Missy Taylor-Buckner (Shaun), Jacklyn Peragine (Nick), Kari Norton (Jason), Sabrina Silvers (Justin); twelve great nieces and nephews: Emma and Joseph Peragine, Ross, Josie and Bentley Buckner, Kaylee and Kaitlyn Norton, Cash, Jett, Otto, Rush, and Dove Silvers; special mother-in-law Alloween Worley and sister-in-law Una Messer (Charles).

A graveside service will be held 3:00pm Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Kirk Payne Cemetery in Marshall. Reverends Weldon Ramsey and Brian Roberts will be officiating the service.
