Ted Edward Rice, 70, took his last drive and went to heaven, Monday, May 1, 2017. He was the son of the late Buster and Virgie Gregg Rice. He is preceded in death by a sister Wilma McFadden and brother Buddy Rice.
He is survived by his daughters, Becky Guthrie, and Tabitha Shelton (Chris); son, Travis Rice (Brittany); sister, Barbara Gosnell; 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Ted was a Mr. "Fix It" man, always trying to help people. He lived his life for his kids and grandbabies.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverends Charles English, Joseph Robinson, and Dennis Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
