Teresa Austin Harwood, 53, of Barnardsville, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at Mission Hospital. She was the daughter of Ruth Thomason Austin of Barnardsville, and the late Hal Austin.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her daughters, Christi Taylor (Brandon) of Asheville and Jessica Harwood (Jason Rice) of Mars Hill; brother, Jeff Austin (Donna) of Barnardsville and a granddaughter, Taylor Evans.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Dillingham Presbyterian Church in Barnardsville with Rev. Richard Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, February 23, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence of 16 Island Dr., Barnardsville.
