Teresa Slagle Marler, 61, of 242 Phillips Valley Rd., Mars Hill, passed away, May 25, 2015 at John F. Keever Solace Center. She was the daughter of Ruby Edwards Slagle and the late Alvin J. Slagle. In addition to her father, Teresa is also preceded in death by her husband Jack Marler. She attended Dry Branch Baptist Church. Along with her mother she is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Pack (Kenneth), sister, Janet Griffin (Mark), brother, Donald Slagle (Sandra), grandchildren, Shelby and Heath Pack and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00am Saturday, May 30th, at Old Bull Creek Baptist Church. Reverends Chad Edwards, Dean Rice and Randy Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Bull Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm Friday, May 29th, at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
