Thelma Maggie Allen, 78, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026 at her home. Born in Haywood County on September 15, 1947 to the late James and Hazel Rathbone Kirkpatrick.

Maggie was also preceded in death by her sisters, Etta Young and Jessie Meadows; brothers Rufus, Benjamin, Harry, and Alvin Kirkpatrick.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond T. Allen; daughter, Vivian Howard (Mark); sons, Ricky and Robbie Allen; sister, Lucille Holt; brother, Joe Kirkpatrick (Pat); nine grandchildren, including Dillon who made his home with his grandparents; eleven great grandchildren and a very special friend of the family, Diana Pressley who Mammie loved dearly.

Maggie loved gardening and caring for her flowers. She had many roles in life, but her greatest one was loving and cherishing her family.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
