Timothy Sie Bentley, 68, of Mars Hill, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.

Born December 1, 1957, in Corning, New York, Tim was the son of the late Ralph and Marion Barber Bentley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Burnside and JoAnn Herrick, and his brother, Kenneth Bentley.

Tim loved spending time gardening, watching football, and following NASCAR races. He had a special affection for basset hounds, which brought him much joy over the years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Wentling Bentley; his daughter, Krissy Bentley Tate (Dwain); his stepdaughter, Cindy Geyer (Joe); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Upper Laurel Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, with Reverend Junior Hensley officiating.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Four Seasons Hospice and the Elizabeth House for the compassion, love, and care shown to Tim during his final days.
