Tracy Ponder, age 52, passed away Wednesday, June 03, 2015 at his home in Weaverville. He was the son of Virginia Taylor Ponder and the late Frank Ponder. Tracy graduated in 1980 from North Buncombe High School, attended Mars Hill University and was very active in community athletics. His is survived by his wife, Deborah Buckner Ponder; children: Matthew Ponder (Laura), Michael, Rebekah and Noah Ponder; granddaughter, Elizabeth Joan Ponder; sister, Gail Riddick and brother, Frank Ponder (Debbie). A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, June 7th at the Woodland Hills Church, 50 Woodland Hills Dr., Asheville, NC 28804. Officiating will be Reverend John Weaver.
