Ursula Else Schmidt Plemmons, 83, of Asheville, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born on September 20, 1941, in Germany to the late Wilhelm and Lina Wintermeyer Schmidt.

Ursula was a faithful and dedicated Christian who was a member of Mt. Sheba Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a devoted preacher's wife for sixty-four years, and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Reverend David K. Plemmons who died in 2023.

Ursula is survived by her daughters, Donna Plemmons, Mary Plemmons, and Nancy Clevenger; sons, Ronald Plemmons (Roxie), Robert Plemmons, and Richard Plemmons (Krystal); sisters, Erika Harris, and Heidi Weachtler; a brother, Karl Weachtler; grandchildren, Lauren, Ashley, Ryan, Danielle, Corrinne, and Amber; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday January 20, 2025, in Mt. Sheba Baptist Church. Reverend Steve Rhinehart will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church.
