Vanessa Gayle McCoy Grooms, 52, of Grooms Rd, passed away Wednesday, October 7, at Mission Hospital. She was a native of West Virginia and the daughter of Aulton Austin McCoy and Janet Trent Kincaid and husband Gerald. She has been a resident of Mars Hill for the past 18 years. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, S. Rocky Grooms; sister, Susan Jeanetta Moore; brother, Tim McCoy; sister-in-law, Jeanette Wilde; nephews, Roger Branden Moore, Chris and Tim Wilde. A graveside service will be held 12:30 PM Saturday, October 10,at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Preacher Winston Lloyd officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, 11:00 – 12:00 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service prior to the service.
