Reverend Vinson Price, 71, passed away August 25, 2017 at his residence. He was the son of the late Lattie and Gracie Rathbone Price. Vinson was an Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War where he was awarded a Purple Heart. Mr. Price served as the pastor of Meadow Fork Freewill Baptist Church in Spring Creek for several years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sisters, Juanita Price, and Aileen Bayles; brothers, Ance, Clifford, Paul and Vester "Doc" Price. Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Anna Faye Young Price; daughters, Angela Casteel (Brant), Teresa Bailey (Ronnie Jr.); son, Eric Price (Rebecca); sisters, Elvie Inman, Jerline Marburger, Zora Massey and Dora Ricker; brothers, Glenn, David and Johnny Price; grandchildren, Nicholas and Anna Bailey, Madison and McKenzie Casteel, Emma, Luke, and Ella Price, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 3:00pm Monday, August 28, 2017 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Mark Crowder and Powell Young will officiate. The burial will follow in the Mt. Sheba Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00pm prior to the service.
