Virginia Jean Tipton Phillips, 79, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Frank D. and Polly Cenie Tipton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Jerome Phillips; sister, Madge Allen; and brother, Johnny Tipton. Jean retired from Conrad Industries after 42 years of employment.

She is survived by her son, Michael Shane Phillips of Greenville, TN; brothers in law, Gary Phillips (Marie) of Knoxville, TN and Conley Davis (Lisa) of Leicester, NC and niece, Christine Hensley of Burnsville, NC.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Little Ivy Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Bill Ponder will officiate.
