Voyt "Shorty" Shelton, 72, of North Fork Rd. passed away June 6, 2013 with complications from pneumonia. Shorty was born April 15, 1941 to the late Hubert and Onia Edwards Shelton. Shorty had been a truck driver for 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lavon; daughter, Rebecca; two grandchildren, Kimberly and Derrick; two great- grandchildren Leah and Jacob; two sisters, Susie and Evelyn; two brothers, Cecil and Foye; numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 8 at Pisgah Forest Baptist Church. The Rev. Dean Metcalf and Rev. Daniel Reed will officiate. At other times the family will be at the home, 924 North Fork Rd.
