Wayne Jack Ballard, 83, of Marshall, passed away on March 3, 2026. He was born on October 21, 1942, and was a son to the late Vaughn and Myrtle Roberts Ballard. Wayne was an Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Maxine Hill and Grace Penland, and his brother, Eugene Ballard.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris Moore Ballard; daughter, Terri Ballard; son, Tim Ballard (Jill); brother, Ricky Ballard; grandchildren, Kristen Peek (Canaan), Olivia Ballard, and Lee Ballard; one great grandchild, Esther Peek and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday March 8, 2026 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Reverends Canaan Peek and Phillip Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in Bull Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
