Wayne Wilson Robinson, 95, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at Aston Park Healthcare. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the son of the late Robert Decatur and Ethel Ann Holcombe Robinson. Wayne was retired from Swannanoa Laundry but his love was farming. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Harriet Ruth McMahan Robinson, three sisters, six brothers and a daughter in law, Donna Owens Robinson. Mr. Robinson is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Jones (Doug), sons, James Arthur and Jerry Wayne Robinson, grandson, Ashley Brooks Carter and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, April 14, at Forks of Ivy Baptist Church. Reverends Greg Hollifield and David Blackmon will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank the staff at Aston Park Healthcare Center for the love and care they gave to Mr. Robinson during his stay.
