Wendell Riley Clark, 82, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Madison Manor after a brief illness. Wendell was a lifelong resident of Madison County and a member of Grapevine Baptist Church. He was an active founder of the Center Community Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Blanch Wilson Clark; and brother, Frank Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Christian Clark, two sons, Jeff (Lynne) of Mars Hill, Keith (Violet) of Marshall; two sisters, Ida Gene Mace and Verna Baldwin; brother, John Clark; three granddaughters, Lynzie and Lezlie Shuford-Clark and Eleura Clark; and one grandson, Jessi Cole Clark, L.C.P.L

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Grapevine Baptist Church.

Rev. Danny Jenkins will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.

Wendell was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
