Reverend Willard Enos Norton, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, July 27, 2021. He was a volunteer firefighter and Chaplin at Laurel Fire Department for 35 years and the current pastor at Union Valley Missionary Baptist Church in the Revere Community.

Mr. Norton is preceded in death by his parents Simon Peter Norton and Gennette Thomas Norton, wife, Annie Faye Gosnell Norton and son, Stephen Willard Norton.

He is survived by two daughters, Terry Morris, and Debbie Norton Gunter (Ricky); son, Dwayne Norton (Tina); sister, Maggie Griffey; brothers, Ronnie, and Simon Norton; 7 grandchildren, Scott Cordell, Ricky Steven Gunter, Bobby Cordell, David Norton, Leesa Gunter, Reanna McDevitt and Beckie Proffitt; 3 great grandchildren, Chloe and Brandon Cordell and Jayden McDevitt.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, July 31, 2021, in the chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Paul Norton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service.
