William Howard "Dub" Deal, 83, of Marshall passed away, July 11, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the son of the late Hubert and Clemmie Fisher Deal. Dub was a US Navy Veteran during the Korean War. He retired from Madison County Solid Waste Center and was formerly employed by A&P, Oak Stove, Madison County Schools, and was a self-employed farmer. In addition to his parents Dub is preceded in death by, sisters, Hazel Sophronia Proffitt and Willie Mae Bryan and a brother, Hubert Deal, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Ruth Kent Deal; daughters, Deborah Boone (Michael), Denise Shelton (Chris), Donna Parker (Phillip); sister, Virginia "Jenny" Cody; brother, Landon Deal; grandchildren, Chastity Jenkins (Jaime), Tiphanie Shelton, Amylia Van Horn (Seth), Kristina Lowe (Cameron), Heath Parker (Sarah), Jennifer Boone; great grandchildren, Shelby, Carson, Aria, Mason, Logan, Allie, Bethany and Collin.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Phillip Parker, Ken Parker and Gordon Peek will officiate with Jaime Jenkins, Heath Parker, Seth Van Horn, Ralph Rice, Michael Reed, and Jimmy Sprinkle serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday, July 13 from 5-8:00pm at the funeral home.
