William Grady Mundy, age 84, of Barnardsville NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 1, 2021.

Mr. Mundy was born August 29, 1936 to the late Taft and Gladys Burrell Mundy. Grady proudly served in the U.S Army and marched in the President John F. Kennedy Inaugural Parade. He retired from Carroll Mundy Builders and was a faithful member of Old Bull Creek Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School superintendent for 41 years and a deacon for 56 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Hobert Mundy.

Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Fox Mundy; daughter, Kim Mundy Shuford (John); son, Kevin Mundy (Lisa); two special grandsons, Clint Shuford and Grayson Mundy; brothers, Charles Mundy (Fayma), Donald Mundy (Marian), Herman Mundy (Beverly) and Larry Mundy (Debbie); sisters-in-law Martha and Marie Mundy. He is also survived by special in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Old Bull Creek Missionary Baptist Church. The Reverends Anthony Fox and Kenneth Pack will officiate. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2pm -4pm Saturday at the church.
