William R. Ramsey, Jr., "Junior" of Marshall, age 89, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015. He was the son of the late William R., Sr and Lilly Mae Gunter Ramsey. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bishop Ramsey; sisters, Ida Belle Williams, Catherine Shelton and Bonnie Gwaltny; and brother, Anson Ramsey. Junior is survived by his brother, Doug Ramsey of Marshall, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 1st at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Rev. Marjory Kiess officiating followed with military honors by Mars Hill VFW Post #5483. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service.
