IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Redmon
Teague
December 5, 1937 – September 18, 2025
William Redmon (Bill) Teague, of Leicester, went to be with The Lord on September 18, 2025. He was born in Buncombe County to the late Evalee S. and Allen Redmon (Bud) Teague. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Teague Elliott, Marcella Teague Morgan, and Peggy O'Neil Teague Wilde Bennett, as well as a son, Infant Boy Teague.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Carolyn; a son, Randy (Kim); sister, Gale Teague Champion; many nieces and nephews; and other dear family members and friends from around the country.
Bill resided most of his life in Leicester moving away only to fulfill his military obligation to his country and while in the auto business, he lived in Delaware. One of his passions was his love of the Leicester community. He looked forward every year to attending reunions of his graduation class of Leicester High School. He would go on to be a board member for many years of The Leicester Community Center.
Throughout his lifetime, he was known for a kind heart and a generous, giving spirit. Bill was a faithful member of Mt. Sheba Baptist Church and was also a founding member of Freedom Baptist Church. Aside from serving His Lord, Bill's other passion was the automotive business. He owned and operated several independent dealerships and retired in 1998. He would go on to work for others for a few more years before he would ease into full retirement.
In his later years, he enjoyed working around his property, attending church functions, and spending time with family and friends. He could be found most mornings passing time with patrons of local restaurants in and around the Leicester Community.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 12 noon until 1:00pm, at Mt. Sheba Baptist Church with the funeral service following immediately. Rev. Steve Rhinehart and Rev. Allen Rash will officiate, and burial will follow in Mt. Sheba Baptist Church Cemetery.
While flowers will be welcomed and appreciated, it is suggested that contributions in memory of Bill Teague be made to Mt. Sheba Baptist Church 870 New Stock Rd. Weaverville, NC 28787.
