Wilma Edna Reed Maxwell, 82, of Marshall, passed away, November 14, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Roy Clyde and Leta Tweed Reed.
Wilma was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother who enjoyed quilting and canning. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bruce Maxwell and brothers, RC and Paul Reed.
Wilma is survived by her children, Dwayne Maxwell (Pam), Lorne Maxwell (Angela) and Darrell Maxwell (Darlene); grandchildren, Tiffany Canada (Ben), Miranda McDonald (Stephen), Kasey Hall (Dylan), Meredith Maxwell, Amber Alford (Glenn), Michael Carter (Alex) and April Howell; great grandchildren, Kinzlee and Jaxon McDonald, Emersyn and Holston Hall, Lyric Weathersbee, Miles and Lilly Alford, Grace Rhett and Gywn Carter; and a very close friend, Sharon Brim.
A funeral service will be held 2:30pm Sunday, November 17, 2024, In the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Reverends Steve Honeycutt and Stanley Peek will officiate. The burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Greens at Weaverville, for their care during Wilma's stay.
