Zell Rice, 82, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Pritchard and Ruby Bailey Metcalf. She is preceded in death by her husband, Garland Hassel Rice; sisters, Dell Rice, Wilma McIntosh, Betty Ray, Dorothy Smith, Alma Jean Metcalf, Vera Mae Wheeler, Lou Snettiker and Cleo Lebanton and brothers, Leon Metcalf and Junior Metcalf. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Gosnell (Cline); grandsons, Garland Gosnell (Hannah) and Bobby Gosnell (Roxanne); great grandchildren, Corey, Mariah and Boone Gosnell and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 5th at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverends Hayes Carver, Eddie Rice and Troy Rogers officiating.
