Obituary for Faye Boone (Wheeler)

Faye B. Wheeler Boone, 87, of 72 White Oak Lane, passed away, August 12, 2015 at Mars Hill Retirement Community. Mrs. Boone was the daughter of the late Samuel and Pearl Honeycutt Wheeler. She was an avid gardener, who loved flowers and cooking. Mrs. Boone was a very faithful member of Forks of Ivy Baptist Church for over 60 years where she enjoyed singing in the choir. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband D. C. Boone and brothers, Locke and Shay Wheeler.
Mrs. Boone is survived by her children, Dennis Boone (Marsha) of Weaverville, Jeffery Boone (Linda) of Mars Hill and Tina Pridgen (Rick) of Weaverville; sister, Jeanette English; grandchildren, Matthew Boone, Tyler Boone (Erin), Keith Boone (Caroline) and Amanda Matthews (Jonathan); great grandchildren, Nolan and Haven Boone.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, August 15, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Greg Hollifield will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held 10:00am Monday, August 17 at the WNC Veterans Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Mars Hill Retirement Community and Madison County Hospice for the care they gave to Mrs. Boone.
