Mae Honeycutt Shook, 76, of Mars Hill passed away Friday, January 08, at John F. Keever Solace Center. She was a native of Madison County and daughter of the late Latte and Kittie Briggs Honeycutt. She is also preceded in death by her husband Ralph Shook; sisters, Claire Grindstaff, Maggie Honeycutt, Ruby and Agnes Metcalf and brothers, Orville and Roy Honeycutt . Mrs. Shook was a retired member of the Custodial Staff at Memorial Mission Hospital and attended Paint Fork Baptist Church when her health allowed.
She is survived by a sister Betty Stines and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, January 10, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Ronnie Robinson will officiate. Burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday January 11, at Little Ivy Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 Sunday evening prior to the service.
