Lucille Cantrell (Sawyer)
Lucille Sawyer Cantrell, 83, of 44 Alexander Road, Alexander, passed away, Tuesday, July 26, 2016. She was born in Madison County and the daughter of the late Monroe and Bertha (Davis) Sawyer, and a member of Walnut Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cantrell is also preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Cantrell, and a grandson, Heath Peek.
She is survived by her husband, Jeter Cantrell; daughter, Ruth Ann Peek (Sammy); son, Ray Cantrell (Rita); sister, Helen Ponder; grandchildren, Matthew Cantrell and Amy Shelton; and two great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, July 29, 2016, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Phillip Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Walnut Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
