Obituary for Bruce Alan Worley
Bruce Alan Worley, 75, of 931 Banjo Branch Road, Mars Hill, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016, at John F. Keever Solace Center. He was the son of the late Clayton and Velma (Ponder) Worley. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy “Pat” Mace Worley; granddaughter, Maddie Jones; and sister, Linda Sue Worley; and brother-in-law, Wade Reavis. He was a US Army Veteran.
Bruce is survived by daughters, Kim Metcalf (Daniel) and Kristie Worley-Fry (Scott); son, Jason Worley; sisters, Claudia Reavis; brother, Grady Worley (Edda); and grandchildren, Dillon and Tyler Burnette, Macean and Patrick Metcalf, Colby, Kelsea, Raigan and Rhylea Worley.
A funeral service will be held at 6pm Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends David Bryant and Marvin Silvers will officiate. Burial will follow in Little Ivy Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
While our hearts are grieving we know that he is no longer in pain, finished his life as he lived it with strength, quiet honor, hard work, and courage and is now reunited with his beloved wife Patsy, who he has longed for these last 26 years.
