Obituary for Warner Bishop

Warner  Bishop
Warner Bishop, 76, of 2002 Ivy Hill Rd., passed away November 15, 2016. He was the son of the late Hillard and Mary Lee King Bishop. Mr. Bishop loved spending time with his family, farming, coon hunting and driving a school bus. Warner spent many hours to help raise money for the Shriners. In addition to his parents Mr. Bishop is preceded in death by sisters, Wilma Bishop, Della Mae Hendrick, Doris Hagar, Hattie Bailey, Arba Lee Tweed and Pauline Snyder and a brother Albert Bishop.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Bishop; daughter, Etiska Jackson (Jayme); sons, Dewitt Bishop (Ginger) and grandchild Roy Bishop, Dale Bishop (Kim) and grandchild, Taylor Bishop and Brittney Wright, Dean Bishop (Stacey) and grandchildren, Morgan and Chesney Bishop, children of Dean and Regina; sisters, Faye Bishop and Dessie White; brothers, Colon and Ronnie Bishop. Also surviving are his adoptive family, Carolyn and Steve Franklin and children Bud and Tanner and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm Friday, November 18, 2016 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow 2:00pm Saturday, November 19 at Robbie Capps memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Freddie Bishop and Dennis Anderson will officiate. The burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Clifford Bishop, Ronnie and Peter Norris, Chad Austin, James and Frankie White, Steve, Bud and Tanner Franklin.
