Obituary for Henrietta Ray Walker (Ray)
Henrietta Ray Walker, 94, of 67 Souther Road, Fletcher, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016. She was a native of Madison County and the daughter of the late Elbert Porter and Ollie Briggs Ray. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Freida Robinson; and brothers, Shelby, Lloyd and Ira Ray.
Mrs. Walker is survived by a daughter, Geni Gentry; two nieces, Geraldine Wilkie, with whom she resided, and Caroline Thelen and their families; and a nephew, Larry Robinson and family.
A Funeral service will be held at 3pm Friday, November 25, 2016, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service, 7626 NC Hwy. 213, Mars Hill, NC 28754. Rev. Mauriceo Mercado will officiate. A private burial will follow in the Middle Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
