Billy Cox, 82 of Locust Gove Road passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at his home. He was a native of Buncombe County and son of the late Carl and Lela Debruhl Cox. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Norma Cox and sister Ernestine Parker. Mr. Cox was a US Air Force Veteran, a member of Madison County Gideons’ for many years and a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
He is survived by daughters, Vickie Bradburn, Rita Riddle (Casey) and Cindy Grindstaff (Brian); sons, Mark and Dylan Cox; sisters, Mary Belle Bullman, Ann Martin and Beatrice Hawkins; brother, Bobby Cox; grandchildren, Chayton, Braydon, Tera, Christin, Tye, Rebekah and Abigail; great grandchildren, Landon, Colton, Sadie, Jackson and Jace.
The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00pm Monday, October 30, 2017 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the funeral home with Reverend Clarke Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Clarks Chapel Cemetery.
