Obituary for Beulah Cleota Norton (Hollifield)
Beulah Cleota Hollifield Norton, 90, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother, gained her heavenly wings on May 18,2018 at home with her family by her side. She was born April 10,1928 in Buncombe County. She was one of eleven children.
Cleota was of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that would await her after her passing. She was a true prayer warrior. Her interest was her Churches Ponder's Chapel & Ivy Creek. She loved the color red, jewelry and her nails to be painted. She loved and attended the Senior Meal site in Weaverville for more than twenty years.
She was preceded in death by her Parents Barnett & Rebecca McCone Holifield, Her daughter Jane Norton Moore, Son in law Harold Roberts, Unborn son Alonzo Norton, Granddaughter Rebecca Moore, unborn Griffee Twins, unborn Wright baby.
She is survived by her Husband Roscoe Norton of 72 years, her daughters Rose Dees (Ron), Loretta Boings (Benny), Easter Griffee (Mark), Roberta Wright {Mark); and her daughter by heart Janice Stephenson (Michael),13 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren; and one sister Melba Bradley.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Monday, May 21, 2018 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Larry Rogers, Weldon Ramsey and Larry Sprouse will officiate. The burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Grandview Rd., Weaverville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In honor of her love for red, we are asking that you wear something red to her service.
