Russell (Rusty) Dale Williams, 47, of Ferndale, Michigan formerly of Mars Hill, NC, passed into eternal life November 23, 2011.

Russell was the grandson of the late James T. Mays and Waudie B. Mays of Mars Hill and Houston B. Williams and Eva P. Williams of Weaverville and is also preceded by several other family members.

Surviving family is his mother, Betty M. Williams of Mars Hill, father, Bobby G. Williams (Diana) of Allen Park, Michigan, brother, Randall G. Williams (Doreen), niece, Lauren L. Williams, nephew, Christopher G. Williams, great niece, Kaylyn Grace all of McCordsville, Indiana, special friend Darin Allen of Ferndale, Michigan and other family members in Mars Hill, Weaverville, Asheville and Michigan.

Voran Funeral Home, Allen Park, Michigan assisted the family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Glenn Graves will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
