Alda Elizabeth Cody (Willis)
Alda Elizabeth Cody, 89, of 664 Bear Branch Road passed away Wednesday July 9, 2014. She was the wife of the late Clarence Cody and daughter of the late Joseph Wing and Bertha English Willis. She was also preceded by brothers; Arnold, Wayne, Lee and Perry Willis.
Surviving are sons; Norris Cody and wife Susie and Myron Cody and wife Janice, daughter Louise Wyatt and husband Terry, brother Edgar Willis and wife Marie, grandchildren; Jennifer and husband Scott, Jonathan and wife Sarah, Alan and wife Kim, Steven and wife Misty, Curtis and wife Miranda and Andy. Great grandchildren; Case, Lucas, Briana, Makayla, Chloe, Avery, Colby, Brooklyn and Maci. Sisters-in-law; Zell Willis, Dot Cody and Wanda Ramsey.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Upper Laurel Baptist Church of which she was a member. Reverends Cline Hensley Jr. and Steven Glover will officiate and remarks by grandchildren. Burial will follow in Upper Laurel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00pm prior to the service.
