Dear Bill and Family, I don't know if you remember me. I rented the little house behind your house in 1990 for a year. I have thought of you both so often over the years and was stirred this week to see if I could connect again with you both. How sad I was to learn of Amelia's passing. No wonder the Lord put you both in mind this week. I will never forget your "hoops and hollars" nor Amelia's sweet spirit. Despite her terrible pain she never complained. I learned so much from her about the love of our Lord and that our true reward is in heaven. I'll never forget the smell of cake baking in her beloved orange kitchen and how talented she was at decorating those cakes. I remember sharing the shavings with you. Amelia made the food and cake for my senior recital the next spring at Mars Hill and that was so special to me. I can still picture her fussing over the table to make sure it was right. I will keep you in my prayers and will rejoice for sweet Amelia that she is healed and with the Father. God Bless. Kerrie Beechler Obert
