MARSHALL: Jimmy Leon Cody, 67 passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at John F. Keever Solace Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County and a son of Virginia D. Cody and the late James W. “Jim” Cody. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Dwight Cody, paternal grandparents; Vernon and Mattie Cody and maternal grandparents; Hubert and Clemmie Deal.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his special cousins; Denise Shelton, Tiphanie Shelton and Linda Buckner, aunt, Iva Spaulding (Ben), uncles; Hubert Deal Jr. (Lucille), William “Dub” Deal (Ruth), Landon B. Deal, Vernon W. Cody, a host of cousins and his loving family at Blue Ridge Homes.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 23, 2011 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill. Rev. Phillip Parker will officiate. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Tillery Cemetery.
