To Metcalf family My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this. I met Larry years ago at the Firehouse. I loved to hear him play the steel I love to hear his stories. I think he could do just about anything. Drive a truck, musician, volunteer, friend comedian. He could tell the funniest stories we would laugh till we cried. Larry rest easy we will take it from here. I'll see you again someday!

To the entire Metcalf family, my prayers are with you and my thoughts of Larry will always be followed by a chuckle and outright laughter! Larry was the one who got me interested in the fire service as a member of the Weaverville Fire Department. His, almost comedic, yet light hearted relief when times were hard will always be remembered. His ability to make you laugh uncontrollably one minute and then hug your neck with tears in his eyes the next was a Larry trademark. To my Brother I say rest in peace and I will meet you on the other side!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I truly understand because I list my husband, David Gosnell 8 years ago. You or Larry probably went to school with him.

I love t ok hear Larry make music. I remember when I was a member at Westview Baptist Church and Larry and others would play guitars and I would play piano when the choir sang. It was like Heavenly music to me. I know he is in the greatest choir of all now!! Won't that be a wonderful time when we get there, Revonda and children? Love you all and praying for you.
