Obituary for James Enelo Boone
James “Enelo” Boone, of Marshall, moved to his heavenly home while at John F. Keever Solace Center after a period of declining health. He was a son of the late Lewis and Jessie Boone. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Marie Houston and brother-in-law, Dennis McCurry. Enelo was a member of Marshall Presbyterian Church. After graduating from Western Carolina University, he went on to become a high school mathematics, chemistry and physics teacher. He retired from his teaching career after 34 years at Marshall and Madison High School. Enelo worked diligently to help his students succeed.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years, Carol Houston Boone; brother, Charles Boone and wife Kay; sister, Terri Boone McCurry; niece, Kathy Pratt and husband Charlie; nephew, Brent Boone and wife Marisha; niece, Emily Boone and husband Daniel, nephew Isaac McCurry and wife Tiffany; and two great nieces, Kaytlin and Taylor Boone.
A memorial service will be held 7:30 PM Friday, March 11, 2016 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The Reverend Stanley Peek will officiate. A private graveside service will be held in Mars Hill. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
