Condolence: Carol, I am sorry for your loss. He was a precious man. I'll always remember the times I would run into you two through the years . . and both of you were always so nice and friendly to me. You always gave me a hug. I am sorry that I missed the funeral, but know that I am sending you my love and prayers. The Bible gives us an encouraging word: "TO be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." I love you. Pat

Condolence: When Madison High School first opened, Mr. Boone taught Chemistry. I was in one of his Chemistry classes. It was a fairly tough class, and Mr. Boone was a soft spoken man. Yet, his excitement about science and chemistry would often make the class a lot of fun for me. As an example, he was explaining what antimatter was. He was very calm and measured in his explanation as he usually was. Then, someone asked him what would happen if matter met antimatter. His eyes lit up as he grabbed two books from his desk. With one book in each hand, he said, "Let's say this book is matter, and this other book is antimatter. If they met (he slammed the books together really hard), it would explode and annihilate each other!" Now, that got everyone's attention, not to mention being really cool!

I want to pass along my condolences to the family. You have my prayers. May God bless you and comfort you as we all seek to please Him going forward.

Condolence: I can't think about my high school years without thinking about Mr. Boone. He was not only the most influential teacher I had in high school but he was always my favorite. I had to take all his classes to prepare for college. He was tough but because he made sure we all "got it" I did well with my college science classes. I did not find out about his passing in time to drive in for the services but I will be there in spirit to celebrate his life. My prayers are with you as you deal with his loss.

A devoted student - Class of 70.

Condolence: Carol and family,
You have my deepest sympathy. I have nothing but fond and respectful memories of Mr. Boone. He was one of those special teachers that truly made a difference in my life. I also have fond memories of seeing the two of you at the Methodist Church in Marshall. Carol, I live in Florida or else I would be there personally. Just remember you are in my prayers.

Condolence: I had Mr. Boone @ Marshall High School in the late 60's for class and I think homeroom once. What a mighty fine teacher--I have often said, "In Mr. Boone's class he worked with us till we got it"--what a blessing that was! My sympathy in the passing of a dedicated teacher and math educator! Sincerely, Louise Flynn Robinson, Class of 70 on the Island.
