Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Max Lennon can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Ruth and Family, I am heartbroken over Max's passing though I realize, that through God's blessing, he left behind human care and strife. He was a man who loved Mars Hill College and these mountains, in large part, founded on his love for you Ruth and your family. He was a man who loved ideas and vision and never sought public credit, but because of his efforts in broadband, economic development, and institutional planning, organizations throughout North and South Carolina thrive. I shall miss him along with you and so many others, the world has a void with him gone from us.
