Brenda was one of the best teachers I had at Mars Hill College. She had high expectations for all of her students and made us believe in ourselves. She was a great teacher and demonstrated her love for all of us. I enjoyed her coming over to eat our meals at the “Humphrey House.” This is where we got to know Brenda, as a person, as well as a teacher. I loved her sense of humor and enjoyed being her student. She was a role model for me as well as hundreds of others. I know how it is to lose a loved one and I pray that God will hold you all close and help you during this difficult journey. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.
