Condolence: To: Rebecca, Paula and families - Please accept my condolences on the passing of your father! Right after I got home from Vietnam, I had a Christmas story printed in the ACT. Emmett took the time to write me a full page letter thanking me for my service and offered some nice comments about life and setting goals and going for them. I sincerely appreciated Emmett and still have that letter from 1972. May he rest in peace and may God bless your family.

Condolence: My deepest sympathy to Paula and Rebecca and their families. Your dad was an amazing man. He was one of the finest teachers I ever had. He wanted all of his students to be successful and he work hard to ensure this happened. He helped me in so many ways personally and professionally. He made countless contributions to Mars Hill College and the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics. He was a wonderful role model and man.
