We have so many memories of Murel, as a colleague, boss, golf partner, and friend. Butch and Lisa have known him for longer than they have been married. He was so dear to us and we considered him part of our family. When we first moved from Illinois to North Carolina, Murel told us about how a pig followed his car one day while he was driving home from work. Telling the story was a huge mistake. Megan and Tricia never let him forget it, teasing him at almost every visit, even making him a comic book about the experience. The joke has become fond memory of Murel. Butch and Murel could not go golfing without coming back with a story. Everything from runaway balls, to rogue golf carts. No matter what, it was always a good time. We will miss Murel terribly. It was a pleasure to know him and we will forever cherish his friendship.
