MARS HILL: Olive Callahan McClellan, 103 of 231 Fox Road went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, May 3, 2011. She was a native of Madison County and the daughter of the late Joseph and Martha Jane McCracken Callahan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Andrew McClellan and daughter, Zelma Thomas. She was a member of Foster Creek Baptist Church. Olive loved her Lord with all her heart. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Surviving are her daughters; Gennell Woody, Peggy Whitt and Ruby Mace, son, Edward McClellan and wife Wilma all of Mars Hill, 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, May 6, 2011 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Revs Kenneth Park, Cline Hensley, Jr. and Luke Adhin will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 prior to the service. Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Upper Laurel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Parker officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
